Have you dreamed of waking up in a chateau in wine country, ready for a day of learning, exploring, and of course, enjoying meals of delicious French cuisine and wine? Bring a friend and join us for a traditional upholstery course at the Chateau de Parthey.

 

Each week at the Chateau de Parthey will include 5 days restoring a bread oven and documenting a chapel.

Saturday will be spent touring the Burgundy region of France, including a visit to the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dijon.

Sunday: Dinner and discussion of project with team members at the Chateau de Parthey.

Monday - Friday: Hands-on conservation work to restore bread oven and document the damaged stone chapel. One afternoon-evening excursion.

Saturday: Tour with group

 

Transportation between the train station in Dole and the chateau is provided on arrival. There is a train fom Gare de Lyon in Paris that arrives at 5pm on Sunday.

Bring clothing that is appropriate for the weather as well as protective while working. Please be conscious that safety is an important issue at any work site.

 Payment is due in full no later than 30 days prior to the start of the trip.

    • If your choice of session is not available, you will be notified immediately, and you may choose between enrolling in another session with places available or receiving a full refund.
    • A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of registration. The deposit may be applied toward attending another project only if you cancel more than 60 days prior to the project start date.
    • If you cancel more than 30 days before the start of the project and have paid the fee in full, you will receive a refund of 50% of the fee. The remaining 50% is nonrefundable.
    • No refund is possible within 30 days of project start or during the project.
    • All payments made to Adventures in Preservation by the participant to attend a project will be refunded if Adventures in Preservation cancels the project.
    • Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended.
